Dr. Joyce Kim, MD

Dr. Joyce Kim, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician. She sees patients at Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas, and performs image-guided interventional pain procedures at WSM Interventional Pain, the procedure suite operated by Kim and Spine LLC.

She completed her medical degree and her anesthesiology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, following an honors bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, where she was named a Renaissance Scholar. She then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Kim is dual board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management, a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. She is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Her practice takes a holistic approach to chronic pain, focused on restoring function and quality of life. She treats back, neck and joint pain, headaches, abdominal and pelvic pain, and cancer-related pain, combining physical therapy, lifestyle modification and medication with noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures.

Patients are seen and scheduled through Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre. Procedures are then performed at WSM Interventional Pain, where the C-arm, procedure table and recovery area are set up for exactly this kind of work.
